Regional Initiative Association in partnership with Bregovo Municipality, RIEW Monatana and St. Kitil and Metodius Secondary School implement Improvement of the Ecological Status of Danube River Project. The project is financed by the UNDP/GEF within Danube Regional Project - National Grants Scheme Second Round and managed by the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe. The project is supported with the amount of 6200 USD for the period January – December 2006. Project manager is Mrs. Velichka Ivanova.

Closing Meeting under the Development of Partnership for the Reduction of Pollution of the Yantra River Basin Project
On 18 January, 2006 in Veliko Turnovo a closing meeting under the project Development of Partnership for the Reduction of Pollution of the Yantra River Basin took place. REC for CEE - Bulgaria Hosts a Winners Meeting under the Second National Grants Round of the Danube Regional Project
On 20 December, 2005 at 13:00 h, the Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe – Bulgaria will host a meeting for representatives of the organizations whose proposals were selected under the 2005 National Grants scheme of the Danube Regional Program, financed by UNDP/GEF and managed by REC for CEE. The meeting will take place at the office of REC for CEE – Bulgaria on 42A Tsar Simeon Street.

Danube Grants for NGOs
Non-governmental organisations will receive funding to lower nutrient pollution in the Danube Basin through a new round of grants offered by The Regional Environmental Center for Central and Eastern Europe, as part of the United Nations Development Programme/Global Environmental Facility’s Danube Regional Project.
